Unified corporate names and renewed brandmark celebrate the second foundation

We celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2015.
Identifying that year as the year of our rebirth, we changed our corporate name from UT Holdings Co., Ltd. to UT Group Co., Ltd. and set a new vision to “Create jobs nationwide in Japan” in July 2015. On October 1, we unified the corporate names of our Group companies so that they start with UT in order to foster a sense of unity. Accordingly, we renewed the brandmark and established a tagline.
Aiming to achieve its vision, UT Group will develop corporate branding under the new brandmark and tagline and expand its businesses.

Brandmark

The previous brandmark was developed in April 2007 when we established a pure holding company.
On this occasion of our second foundation, we developed the new brandmark symbolizing the image of an outstanding workforce, teamwork, and growth.

Proportion

UT Group’s brandmark was specified by using the silver ratio (1:√2 ≒ 1: 1.414).
The silver ratio has been applied to architecture such as the famous Horyuji temple in Nara and to various tools in Japan since ancient times, and can be said to match the Japanese aesthetic feeling or standard of monozukuri (manufacturing with passion). The silver ratio is also practically used in paper sizes.

The brandmark, which has an aesthetic rational proportion, symbolizes our attitude of aiming for the growth of our individual employees, while its shape, which tightly joins U and T, implies teamwork, one of UT Group’s strengths. The higher positioning of T relative to U indicates the growth of our people and businesses.

Graphic pattern

The sum of the growth of Group companies and their workers results in the growth of UT Group. This graphic pattern creates an image of the united efforts of our people, teams, and Group companies to achieve growth.

Tagline

This tagline describes UT Group’s social mission to cooperate and grow together with our clients.
While also functioning as a guidepost for the actions of our people, the tagline shows the attitude of overcoming the limits of each person’s ability and undertaking challenges as a team to develop one’s skills and capabilities.
